OPTIONS I AM CONSIDERING:
Creative Writing Graduate Program:
- Concordia (dream school tbh, in Montreal)
- University of Victoria (Vancouver Island, far enough way but not too far)
- UBC (Vancouver…a bit too close to home)
- University of Guelph (Ontario)
- University of Fredricton (New Brunswick)
Media Studies:
- University of Alberta (Edmonton) for Modern Languages and Cultural Studies (dream program tbh)
- University of Calgary (Calgary; who wants to live in Alberta though??) for Communications Studies Program
Journalism:
- Concordia (dream school!!)
- Ryerson (Toronto)
- Kwantlen (Surrey…too close to home)
- BCIT (Burnaby…too close to home and only offers broadcast Journalism)
It’s so difficult. I have to find a school I like, I city I like. Then I have to see if I can afford it. Then I have to apply. Then I have to see if I actually fit with an advisor- if I don’t none of the other stuff matters. And then once I pick that’s it. That’s the start of my life. I know I have a year to decide but still! I have to start thinking now because I need to start my thesis and start getting my academic ressume ready. Not to mention it’ll be around 40k not including living expenses. Fuckkk.
